Sharon Sinclair spent the most of her career in administrative and accounting duties and it was only when retirement was pending that, spurred by the need for a massage therapist in her son’s chiropractic office, she decided to pursue that interest. After enrolling in massage school, Sharon found that there was much more to her new career than she had imagined and that her attempt to join that profession for someone else’s sake had resulted in the discovery of a true calling to help people in a way that no other profession could.
Sharon attended an accelerated program at Birmingham School of Massage, which included Anatomy, Physiology and massage modalities, specifically Swedish, Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Cupping, Reflexology, Pre-natal and Sports Massage, and application of hot and cold therapies. Sharon became certified in Hot Stone Massage while still in school and graduated in September 2007 at the top of her class, achieving her national certification with the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in October of 2007. Because Massage is such an all-encompassing modality, Sharon continues to study and pursue certifications in a variety of specialties in order to better serve her current and future clientele.
In the attempt to be an asset to the community, Sharon volunteers her services at various community walks, sporting events, schools and other community projects.
Sharon is married and is the mother of three children. She enjoys reading, sewing, camping, boating and working in her flowers.
